Cabo Golf Courses

Los Cabos is a golfer's paradise with six championship courses that have been rated among the best in the world by Golf Magazine and Golf Digest. Breathtaking views of the Sea of Cortez, mountains and desert landscape, along with challenging courses designed by Jack Nicklaus, Robert Trent Jones II, Pete Dye and Tom Weiskopf, make for unforgettable time on the links.

Playing a round in Cabo is a scenic journey through deep arroyos, over rolling desert terrain and around inland lakes. Lush green fairways provide dramatic contrast to the backdrop of the rugged terrain. Golfers can test their skill w ith water bunkers, hole that skirt along the Sea of Cortez, staggered tees and "target-style" links. Play areas are buildt into the natural terrain, carved out of pristine desert canyons with beautiful natural cactus and rock formations.

Seven Great Greens Already Going

Seven existing courses offer seven different experiences. The Ocean Course at Cabo Del Sol, listed as one of the top 100 courses in the world by Golf Magazine, is touted as the “Pebble Beach of Baja.” The newer Desert Course is a Weiskopf design, and equally as enticing. Palmilla, the first course in the area, brought Nicklaus to Los Cabos. It offers something for every golfer, and is the perfect couples course. They say, “When in love, play Palmilla.”

Public courses include Mayan Resort’s 9-hole course in San Jose, geared for beginning and intermediate players. The Los Cabos Golf and Country Club, a Dye Corporation 18-hole, par 72 course near Cabo San Lucas, offers the only view of the famous arch.

El Dorado Golf Club opened as a public course, but the Nicklaus designed course is now private, to the disappointment of golf enthusiasts who enjoyed playing the 18-hole, par 72 championship course. Another private development, Querencia, boasts a new 30,000 sq. ft. clubhouse and spa facility with bar and dining. The 18-hole, par 72 course was Tom Fazio’s first project out of the U.S.
